The Supply Chain Leadership Forum 2022, hosted by Boon Software Consulting and SEEBURGER, took place on November 18, 2022, at Suntec City in Singapore. Ms. Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry (Singapore) and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), was the guest of honor at the event and gracing the event was Mr. Chin Hwee TAN, the Chairman of SGTraDex.
The conference theme “Building Trust & Resilience in the Supply Chain Through Connectivity” is a timely focus, given that the global economy has had an extraordinary few years and the supply chain is facing much disruption today. The world is now emerging from the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused widespread disruption around the world. Supply chains, which were already impacted by COVID-19, are now facing a slew of new international challenges such as the Russian-Ukraine war, geopolitical tensions, potential economic recession, and to manage the transit to carbon neutrality.
The forum had a distinguished panel of international supply chain experts who shared new perspectives and insights on how to strengthen and build supply chain resilience in a disrupted and connected world in the backdrop of these disruptions.
Participants from over 40 organizations including business leaders and academics from the supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, finance, and technology sectors, as well as representatives from government ministries and agencies, trade associations, and research institutions participated and contributed to the forum.
A recurring theme in our discussions was the importance of connectivity in fostering trust and resilience in the supply chain. Much work remains to be done to improve the supply chain and promote international trade.
